This is a natural, processed protein, that acts on the muscle, suspending the transfer of nerve impulse and obstructing contractions. It is addressed to men and women regardless of age, when frown lines appear and when fatigue is visible around the eyes and on the forehead.

Botox treatment is painless. The procedure lasts about ten to twenty minutes, depending on the indication. Thin needles are used for injections on the glabella, the forehead or the eyes. The muscles that cause the wrinkles are immobilised. Lately Botox is successfully applied in the vertical wrinkles of the neck. After the application you may continue your regular activities. The results last about 6 to 8 months depending on whether the targeted muscles of the face are hyperkinetic or not.

The horizontal wrinkles on the forehead, caused by the movements of the frontalis muscles that lift the eyebrows are also an element that can make a person look older but can be treated with Botox.
